This page lists everything this website puts on your device. Cookies are the familiar ones, but a browser can also store things in what is called local storage and session storage, and it would be a bit sly to leave those out. So they are all here.
Staying in control
There is no pop-up asking you to agree to anything. Two cookies remember your language and your currency, because without them every page would come back in the wrong language at the wrong price. We also count how the site is used, in the plain terms set out below, so we can make it better.
If you would rather we counted nothing at all, every browser can block cookies and site data, and most have a do-not-track or tracker-blocking setting that stops the counting scripts loading. The site keeps working; it will simply forget your language, your currency and your saved properties each time you come back.
You can clear everything this site has put on your device at any time through your browser settings.
Cookies we set

Things stored in your browser
None of these are cookies and none of them are sent to us automatically. They sit on your device so the site can remember small things between pages.

Counting visits
Two things count visits. Our own system saves a row for each page view, search or click: the page, the listing, the language, the page you came from, how long you stayed, the session number above, and the country, region, town and device type our host works out from your connection. Alongside it, Vercel Web Analytics gives us a simple visitor count. Neither uses a cookie, and we do not keep your IP address in those records.
We do keep your IP address in one place, and it is only fair to say so here too: if you sign up for our property emails or ask for a report, we record the IP address the sign-up came from as proof that it was genuine. That is explained fully in our Privacy Policy.
Other people's cookies
Some parts of the site are served by other companies, and once your browser talks to them their own rules apply:
- YouTube for the video tours. We use the no-cookie version of their player, so nothing is stored until you press play.
- Cloudflare Stream for the video on our homepage, and Cloudflare R2 for the property photos.
- OpenStreetMap for the map tiles on property pages.
- Google Analytics, if we have switched it on. It sets its own cookies and tells Google about the pages you looked at. Blocking cookies for this site, or any of the usual tracker-blocking extensions, stops it.
What we do not do
- No advertising or remarketing cookies. We do not run ads.
- No selling or renting your data to anybody.
- No following you around other websites, and no profile of you as a person.
Managing cookies
Every browser lets you delete or block cookies and clear stored site data. If you block ours, the site still works, but it will forget your language, your currency and your saved properties every time you come back.
