It’s certainly earned its ‘Jungle House’ nickname, sitting on a good chunk of land that's gone a bit wild, but that's part of its charm and potential.

It’s a single-storey building, quite small, with light coloured rendered walls that are showing their age. There's a main green door and matching window frames, but the whole exterior needs a lot of attention. One side of the house is open, revealing bare brickwork and what looks like a partially collapsed roof section.

Inside, it's a classic renovation job. You'll find several small rooms, all needing a full strip out and rebuild. The ceilings are a mix of exposed wooden beams and planks, or green painted tongue and groove, but they're all in rough shape. Walls are cracked, plaster is peeling, and the floors are either dirt or old, debris-covered wood. One room has clearly been a kitchen at some point, with an old tiled backsplash and a small wooden cabinet. Another area is just bare brick with an open roof, showing the sky, so you know this isn't a quick paint job. There's also a small, tiled room that was likely a bathroom, but it's just a shell now. It's not move-in ready, not by a long shot, but if you're looking for a project where you can design everything from scratch, or are thinking of a new build / prefab / log cabin style home, this gives you a solid footprint to work from.

Kamenets is a quiet village, just the sort of spot for getting away from it all. Crucially for anyone who loves the outdoors, you're only about 1200 metres from a really scenic fishing lake. Imagine finishing a day's work on the house and heading straight there to relax. For your everyday needs, you'll likely be heading into Pleven, which is a short drive away. There you'll find supermarkets, restaurants, banks, doctors, and everything else you'd expect.
